Anne Welenc is a director and playwright whose work is rooted in critically feminist research. With an interdisciplinary approach, she blends classical theatre with elements of dance, pop, and club culture.

Her pieces, including QUEENS and Gargoyles, explore themes of gender, power, and societal narratives, offering new perspectives on historical and literary figures.

Now QUEENS and Gargoyles are taking to the stage for the first time - as part of the work-in-progress format THE LAB.

THE LAB is the artist and audience development series at English Theatre Berlin | International Performing Arts Center. Founded by Daniel Brunet in 2003, it offers Berlin-based artists an opportunity to share their work-in-progress with an audience and receive feedback in the form of a post-performance discussion.
