AnDenken. The Hakenfelde Minimuseum for German History
The exhibition AnDenken shows family memorabilia from the past 200 years, which Spandau resident Frank Schadek has collected and preserved.
In addition to the everyday culture of previous generations, these objects, documents and photographs also reflect a number of important moments in German, Berlin and Spandau history:
Monarchy, democracy and dictatorship, wars, hunger, disease and division, but also reconstruction and reunification. The historical events and upheavals become more tangible through the connection with the lives of real people, and the value of Spandau's biographical culture of remembrance becomes visible.
