guided tour offered by the VHS City-West
Almost all Prussian rulers and their wives have left their "artistic traces" in the Charlottenburg Palace and Gardens. Whether as commissioners of individual buildings and gardens or passionate collectors of outstanding works of art - from Frederick I to Frederick the Great to Frederick William IV, they promoted art or were artistically active.
As part of the series "On behalf of His Majesty - The Hohenzollerns as patrons of the arts", the former palace director Rudolf G. Scharmann presents the artistic legacy of the Prussian kings and their wives on five different tours and provides information about their lives and work.
The five dates will take place between January and November 2025 and each last around 1.5 hours. They can be booked independently of one another. Please register directly with the City-West adult education center.
