The vocal ensemble VOX NOSTRA, under the direction of Burkard Wehner, has been dedicated to medieval vocal music since its founding in 2001 and performs regularly at home and abroad.
With its overtone-rich, room-filling sound of pure intervals, the choir takes its audience into the archaic world of sounds.
The repertoire includes monophonic Gregorian chants that are over 1000 years old, ancient psalms and the fascinating chants of Hildegard von Bingen, as well as the finely crafted motets of the 13th century and the magical polyphony of the Parisian masters Leonin and Perotin around 1200.
