Who's afraid of Bauhaus? The AfD and its right-wing extremist cultural policy
The right-wing extremist AfD faction in Saxony-Anhalt attacks the Bauhaus as a "wrong path of modernity" and "uniformity". In 1932, the National Socialists closed the Bauhaus in Dessau and condemned many works as "degenerate art". After more than 90 years, right-wing extremist politicians are apparently still afraid of Bauhaus.
- How do the AfD's influence mechanisms work?
- Which formulations that the NSDAP used back then are now becoming relevant again?
- What are the goals behind them?
Together with the guests, we will talk about cultural policy under right-wing extremist attacks, then and now.
