Stories in the middle of Berlin
Guided tours for school classes through the new permanent exhibition "Grown on Sand" with stories from and in the middle of Berlin. Who built the city? How did it develop? What did Mitte look like in the past? Who owns the city?
The participants walk through the permanent exhibition and look at the creation and development of the Mitte district over the last 250 years.
Between historical documents and old photos of Badstrasse, the students can and should ask and answer questions - including socially relevant ones such as "Who owns the city?"
There is both a playful engagement with objects from the collection and a critical examination of the city in the past and today.
