The long-term project “Innerfields” will be presented from October 12. Jakob Tory Bardou, Holger Weißflog and Veit Tempich, who all come from the graffiti scene and grew up without smartphones or social networks, reflect on how new technologies are changing perception, relationships and the world.

Through realistic, figurative motifs, supplemented by graphic elements and symbols, “Innerfields” illuminates the tension between nature and technology and questions how these influence our identity and our lives.

Based on the original street art works, which are the result of many handmade stencils and the use of numerous spray cans, an extensive screen print edition was created over a period of 8 years. Kai Schürholz (alias Mr. Bacon) was responsible for the printing, using living paper traditionally made in Tibet.

This awareness of materiality and craftsmanship are important aspects when it comes to the question of the individual life and distinctiveness of screen prints compared to purely digitally created products.
