In 2011, Alice Schwarzer published her first volume of memoirs, "Lebenslauf" (1942-1977), with great success, followed in 2020 by the second part, "Lebenswerk" (1977 to the present).

On the occasion of her 80th birthday in December 2024, a double volume will be published that spans her life from childhood through her early years as a journalist and feminist to her current political and journalistic activities.

There is hardly a public figure in Germany who has aroused as much admiration and opposition over the decades as Alice Schwarzer. To this day, she is considered the leading voice for women's rights in Germany and is one of the country's outstanding journalists, author of numerous bestsellers and founder and editor of the magazine EMMA.

Her passion and fighting spirit are legendary. The double volume illuminates all facets of her life: from her personal roots and influences to her journalistic and political struggles, successes and encounters with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
