Wenzel, washed with all the waters of the stage, with all the sweat of orgiastic concerts, remains astonishingly true to himself, no matter what profession he is working in. He seems to be carried by an indomitable greed for life, happiness and laughter. He enchants his listeners with gestures, looks and the sound of his voice tanned by whiskey and smoke, by nostalgia and intoxication. Accordion, guitars and piano change under his hands depending on his mood.

Wenzel is a writer, composer, musician, singer, actor and director. He has toured France, Austria, America, Nicaragua, Cuba, Turkey, among others. Wenzel has performed with Arlo Guthrie, Randy Newman, Billy Bragg, Konstantin Wecker and many other musicians on stage. Wenzel has survived honours from the GOLDEN AMIGA, the Heinrich Heine Prize, the German Cabinet Prize, the German Record Critics' Prize (eight times), as well as the Liederbestliste Prize.
