DAILY EXERCISE OFFERS

With running coaches, those interested can start the day perfectly with a relaxed 5 km run at the Early.Bird Run. If you prefer to run in the evening, you'll get your money's worth with the after-work run.

A yoga session or Pilates is recommended for your lunch break.

And if you really want to work out, Les Mills BODYATTACK™ is the right workout. It combines athletic movements such as running, lunges and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats.

"ONLY DEATH IS FASTER" - READING WITH HAJO SCHUMACHER

TV presenter, journalist and author Hajo Schumacher, also known as Achim Achilles, reads from his fast-paced crime novel about Inspector Peer Pedes, who uses unorthodox methods, wit and speed to investigate a series of murders in the Berlin running scene.

Free admission

Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, 6 p.m. at MOVE:

TALK & MUSIC WITH FRIEDRICH LIECHTENSTEIN

Strolling instead of running is the motto of this evening. Friedrich Liechtenstein and marathons don't really go together. The musician, advertising icon and actor describes himself as a flaneur who explores the city while walking.

Talk show host Ilka Peemöller talks to him about his Berlin and the developments in the city that can be seen when looking from the street.

At the end of the conversation there is a small Berlin premiere:

Friedrich Liechtenstein sings three songs from his new album. And of course it's about: Berlin.

Free admission.

September 17th to 30th at MOVE:

EXHIBITION "50 YEARS OF THE BERLIN MARATHON"

A lot has changed since the first start in 1974. In 1974, the fine rib undershirt was the classic running clothing - today there is a complete equipment industry for running.

Communication was also different: instead of smartphones, there were landline telephones with rotary dials. The BERLIN MARATHON reflects 50 years of sports and contemporary history - entertainingly presented in the anniversary exhibition.

The exhibition is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free.

Tip: Take part in one of the numerous guided tours through the exhibition and look forward to great insights and anecdotes from long-time companions and contemporary witnesses.

UNSEEN - GLOBAL PHOTO EXHIBITION AND PANEL SERIES

Part of the exhibition offering is also the cooperation with UNSEEN, a globally connecting photo exhibition and panel series that travels from marathon to marathon and offers athletes, artists and activists a platform to share their experiences with the running community.

In the MOVE, UNSEEN highlights two marginalized groups that overcome boundaries in different ways:

A portrait series shows blind and visually impaired marathon runners who achieve great things despite limitations. A photo series focuses on Berlin's LGBTIQ* running community and shows how running connects people and creates a common identity based on freedom and acceptance. There are various accompanying panels.
