Klangwerkstatt Berlin 2024
After its appearance in 2021, the Berliner Lautsprecherorchester returns for the second time to Klangwerkstatt Berlin. This extraordinary ensemble is a conglomerate of diverse loudspeakers and transducers. Their arrangement in the space produces intensely physical sounds. The loudspeaker, initially a medium for transmission, becomes a playable instrument in itself. This paradox is the concept: the virtual is transformed into the real within the space.
Wolfgang Heiniger, founder and director of the Berliner Lautsprecherorchester, will be bringing current works with him, all of which were created for the Berliner Lautsprecherorchester: a commissioned work by Klangwerkstatt Berlin from Hanna Hartman as well as works by Jacqueline Butzinger, Avenar Bánföldi, Seong-Jin Hong, Marina Lukashevich, Li He, Vinh Tran and Marta Talvet.
