For their ninth cinema film, the self-proclaimed wanderlust makers Silke Schranz and Christian Wüstenberg spent six months on the tropical island of Mauritius. On 6 November, the two will be talking about their thrilling experiences and adventures for the first time live on stage at the Union Kino.

They are among the most successful independent travel film makers in Germany. Well over 20 million people have already seen their films in the cinema or on television. Silke Schranz and Christian Wüstenberg have already brought eight travel documentaries to the cinema, including box office hits such as ‘The Baltic Sea from Above’, ‘South Africa - The Cinema Film’ and ‘Australia in 100 Days’.

The new film ‘Mauritius - Die Fernwehmacher unterwegs im Tropenparadies’ takes viewers to the most spectacular places in Mauritius.

‘Our aim was to bring the essence of Mauritius to the big screen - not only the majestic nature and picturesque beaches, but also the cultural diversity and the warm-hearted encounters with the people of Mauritius,’ says Silke Schranz. ‘It was an intense journey for us, which enabled us to experience the beauty and diversity of this island and capture it with our cameras,’ enthuses Christian Wüstenberg.

Premiere:

The premiere will take place on 6 November at 8 pm at the Union Kino Friedrichshagen. The evening not only offers a deep insight into the tropical paradise in the Indian Ocean, but also the opportunity to experience the filmmaking duo up close. Silke Schranz and Christian Wüstenberg will talk live on stage about their trip, give tips and answer questions from the audience after the film.
