OpernSalon - Die Frau ohne Schatten
Probably the most important work from the collaboration between Richard Strauss and Hugo von Hofmannsthal. The self-proclaimed "last romantic opera", a great, magnificent fairy tale, but the enormous challenges of the performance and the alleged eccentricity of the text stood in the way of its wider distribution. Also one of Elias Corrinth's declared favorite operas, who will be delighted to bring order to the thicket of leitmotifs and levels of meaning.
The role of the great Ninth in the married life of the dyer Barak, the emperor's loot scheme, the perfection of the psychological music drama, the secrets of the gazelle, the falcon and the phoenix - all this and much more is on the program of this "Opera Salon".
