Axel Prahl
For many, his debut album "Blick aufs Mehr" was a surprise, for quite a few it was their new favorite album. In November 2018, his second studio album "MEHR" was released, which was eagerly awaited. In addition to this and of course beyond that, there are - finally - concerts again. Now something new is announced with the first 7-inch release "Timpete" and will be presented live for the first time on his summer tour.
With Axel Prahl, it is not a singing actor, but a wonderful musician and singer who steps onto the German (music) stage with songs that have sprung from his own pen and from his own experiences.
His band, which is by no means celebrated in passing, is a small, hand-picked group of nine musicians who have brought famous names to the German rock, jazz and classical scene. First and foremost Danny Dziuk, whose songs and lyrics have boosted the reputation of Annett Louisan and Stoppok.
The musician Prahl argues and rants, purrs and sighs, is caustic to naively good, touches and seduces. But above all, Axel Prahl is completely himself as a musician, in other words "in the role of his life" as "ZDF-Aspekte" noted with some relish.
