The Vampires, described by Downbeat Magazine as "worldly, talented" and praised by The Guardian for their "seductive, genre-hopping creativity," consist of four of Australia’s most awarded jazz instrumentalists.

The band captures worldwide attention with their distinctive sound, which has been compared to Miles Davis’s "Bitches Brew" and the Art Ensemble of Chicago. With their fearless improvisations, sophisticated compositions, and uncanny sense for the dialogue between saxophone and trumpet, The Vampires have developed a unique style that effortlessly blends influences from various parts of the world.

Performances at prestigious jazz clubs and leading festivals, collaborations with stars like Lionel Loueke, and rave reviews for their latest album "Nightjar" speak volumes.

With seven albums over 13 years, an ARIA nomination, and the distinction of being the first instrumental group ever nominated for the Australian Music Prize, The Vampires are still young and have much more to offer. This is an experience not to be missed.
