Open-Air Concerts with Artist Bands

With rousing bands and DJ sets, the sounds bring a music festival to Galerie Parterre on the Kulturinsel on Danziger Straße for an entire afternoon. Synthetic-atmospheric harmonies, metaphorical lyrics, rocky guitars, poetic word pictures, groovy chords create a musical melange that invites you to listen attentively as well as to dance along.

The musicians and the DJ are at home in both music and the visual arts.

SET combines various artistic elements and is the new band of the visual artist Shira Orion and the musician Nethaniel Ratsaby (both formerly EGONX).
The musicians compose and play surrealist punk in German. SET's songs are light and precise, they take up everyday symbols, experimental motifs and pop accents. Together with the artist and musician Johanna Schreier (Shreddy, Hot Chicks) and the drummer Omri Gondor (The Gondors), SET creates a unique live performance.

jesus wore double denim is a German-New Zealand duo of singer-songwriter Marie and Frae, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Their fresh and multifaceted sound is inspired by the bands LCD Soundsystem, Sylvan Esso and Air.
The two Berlin musicians impress with a unique alternative pop that combines electronic elements with Marie's soulful, warm voice and catchy melodies. Their sound is sometimes playful, sometimes dark and thoughtful, sometimes danceable and sometimes all of the above.

hackedepicciotto are Alexander Hacke and Danielle de Picciotto. Alexander is a founding member and bassist of Einstürzende Neubauten. Danielle is co-initiator of the Berlin Love Parade, co-founder of the Ocean Club & Monika Werkstatt project with Gudrun Gut, former member of the cult band Crime & The City Solution and Alexander's partner in crime. She is also active as a visual artist.
hackedepicciotto position themselves between the genres of industrial, experimental and spoken word and move musically between meditatively sung harmonies, soundscapes to heavy drones and fast, lively symphonic passages that are close to a mix of OM, Suicide, Dead Can Dance, Low and Arvo Pärt.

Paradiso's music is a transcendental journey through sound worlds that combine house, techno, progressive elements and energetic Eurodance. Each DJ set is a meticulously crafted narrative, an emotional journey from the deepest basses to the highest crescendos.

Paradiso's tracks often feature lush, atmospheric layers, pulsating rhythms and euphoric drops that electrify the dancefloor. Paradiso identifies as queer and is on a mission to foster a sense of belonging and unity, transforming any dancefloor into a sanctuary of acceptance and celebration.

The sounds take place as part of the Kommunale Galerien Berlin art week.
