Festival of quieter sounds

The Unpluggedival is a small but exquisite, voluntarily organised Berlin festival of quieter sounds, a good atmosphere and the opportunity for moments.

18.00 Moritz Peter Gläser Trio -Outside

Moritz Peter Gläser is a singer-songwriter from Berlin born in Leipzig. His father was Peter Cäsar Gläser, a famous musician of the former GDR in the genre of so-called "East Rock". Moritz Peter, who grew up mainly in Berlin, mixes traditional "East Rock" guitar music, which he was practically born with, with hip hop. He himself describes his style as "Modern Ostrock". Classic song structures meet self-ironic rap lyrics, which tend to be of a humorous nature. Moritz Peter Gläser is accompanied live by Leo Zapf on cajon and Jonas Krahn on bass.

19.00 Mendecino - In the hall

The inclusive band Mendecino writes about itself: "We've been making music since 2007. We started with few resources in Heiko's room in one of our shared flats. Today we are eight people. Some live here, others work in the shared flats and still others have joined us from outside or now live somewhere else. We mainly cover German-language music. It used to be more pop songs, now it's more rock music. We mainly play music that is danceable and catchy, because that's the most fun for the audience and catchy lyrics make it easier for us to work out the songs."

20.00 DobProMan - Outside

DobBroMan is the new project of the Berlin-based blues slide guitarist and singer-songwriter. He has played guitar in many bands and projects, including Gen:ix, Slick and Snakebite. DobBroMan plays solo as well as in a duo, trio and also in a band setup with a drummer. DobBroMan uses the special sounding Dobro resonator guitar, which is the centre of his live performances and recordings. His live repertoire is a mixture of blues, country, slide guitar songs by Chris Whitley, Johnny Cash, Blind Willie Johnson, Bruce Cockburn as well as his own compositions.

21.00 Eleven Onzelf - In the hall

With a fusion of pop song, dark rock and alternative jazz, the band Eleven creates a unique style and sound. Eleven's music opens up paths to other worlds: Each song has its own identity, consisting of melodies that get stuck in your head, sounds that touch you deeply and lyrics that leave the listener their own space for imagination. The interplay between the band is a great live experience: the music constantly transforms into something new, and the authentic pop vocals alternate with energetic jazz improvisation.
