You wouldn't know it from his hundreds of millions of song streams, his sold-out debut tour or his viral social media content, but Mark Ambor was almost in college before he even wanted to sing in front of anyone - including his family.

‘I wrote my first song, and about an hour and a half later I had it recorded on my voice memos,’ says the Pleasantville, New York, native. Shortly before he left for work, he sent the clip to his parents by text message and asked them to listen to it. "A few hours later, my mum replies and says, ’Dad and I really like this. Who's the artist?' I just said, ‘Mom,’‘ he says with a laugh, “”That's me.’
A lot has happened in Mark Ambor's life since that news. In 2025, he goes on tour and stops at Huxley's New World.
