Heinrich von Herzogenberg's Christmas Oratorio sets the mood for the Christmas season. The musical also involves the audience, as listeners are invited to sing along to well-known choral melodies.

The audience experiences the Annunciation through Old Testament prophecies and Mary's encounter with the angel, the birth of Christ and the adoration by the shepherds.
