Many years ago, Hans-Georg moved from the deepest provinces to the big metropolis. Here, the once shy and awkward boy from the country created a sophisticated alter ego for himself. Many men have crossed his path during this time. But the path to freedom and queer self-realization is paved with one or two detours.

The city itself contributes to this, the constantly changing Berlin with its endless possibilities and small and large absurdities. The Minne men accompany Hans-Georg and his companions on their adventures. Anyone who knows the 40 singers knows that the new program is also accompanied by four-part harmonies and the occasional sophisticated choreography.

Since 1987, Berlin's oldest and largest gay choir has delighted its audience far beyond the city's borders. In their many programs, the dangers of gay life in all their many forms are sung about.

The choir director Holger Perschke keeps the Minne-Men in check musically, and Steven Desroches provides the magical piano sounds.

This time, MÄNNER-MINNE is sharing the ufaFabrik stage with special guests. The gay men's choir Doodles is bringing a varied program from Prague to Berlin. The palette ranges from Renaissance music to folk songs and classical choral music to musical songs and 80s and 90s pop and rock. The 35 charming singers under the direction of Marek Stanka are at home in many languages. In addition to Czech and Slovakian, their repertoire includes pieces in English, French, Italian, Estonian, Yiddish, Swahili and even German.
