Future Tools Series

“Future Tools” is the current series of workshops in which everyone deals intensively with various technologies: training is provided on the machines of the future and these are used to develop new ideas.

The open lab evening “Future Tools” deals with the dream tool of all makers - the laser cutter. The rapid development and precise implementation of individual designs in a wide variety of materials, cutting simple patterns to engraving detailed graphics in wood or building complex three-dimensional objects, everything is possible.

Are you curious and want to know what possibilities the laser cutter offers you? Then come along and learn about the tools and the basics of laser cutting with your own small project: preparing designs for the laser cutter, cutting, engraving and selecting the materials.

The laser cutter and the materials for experimentation can be used free of charge on site. Bringing your own laptop is an advantage for developing your own cutting patterns. Are you dropping by spontaneously? Don't worry, there are laptops on site.

This is what you will learn

  • What is a laser cutter? Which materials can be cut or engraved with a laser?
  • How do I create a design?
  • Laser cutter instruction - safety first!
  • Tips and tricks
