A story about the pangolin in the ‘After Nature’ exhibition, told by Franziska Bauer
In a large port city, the story unfolds of an unusual friendship between a street child and a wild animal captured by poachers. The child is later forced to work as slave labour as a tailor in a textile factory under inhuman conditions.
Franziska Bauer brings two explosive globalisation issues – the extermination of animals and child labour – to the stage in German and present them in a linguistically playful way in this storytelling programme.
Franzi Bauer is a certified storyteller (UdK Berlin) and has worked since 2015 as a freelance storyteller in arts and education. In addition to her artistic activities within stage programmes, she also directs workshops in schools, gives guest seminars at universities, and offers professional development sessions for facilitators. Since 2018 she has also worked as a freelancer for ‘LesArt’, a children’s literature organisation in Berlin.
