Ben's debut LP, Every Kingdom, was a smash success, but I Forget Where We Were marked a marked change in sound and mood. While Every Kingdom perfectly captured chart-worthy acoustic purity, I Forget Where We Were brought a darker and stormier atmosphere. Despite concerns that this shift might alienate his young fanbase - who had bought nearly a million copies of Every Kingdom - the follow-up album topped the UK charts.

The centrepiece of I Forget Where We Were is its epic title track, a song that, like the album itself, has stood the test of time. When Ben unexpectedly played it during his headlining set at London's Royal Albert Hall last year to celebrate his fifth studio album, Is It?, the performance was electrifying, shaking the historic venue and drawing an ecstatic response from the crowd.

Although he rarely looks back, "I Forget Where We Were" represents a milestone in Ben's career and shows an uncompromising attitude that has done him a lot of good.
