Udo Jürgens is one of the most successful male solo artists in the world. He composed more than 1000 songs, released over 50 music albums and sold over 105 million records in a career spanning more than sixty years.

The duo Markus Engelstaedter (vocals) and Bernd Meyer (piano) pay tribute to the life's work of the important German-speaking entertainer with this program. Hits such as "17 Years, Blonde Hair", "An Honourable House", "The Sun Always Rises Again" and "I Never Came to New York", the Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson winner "Merci, Chérie" or "Thank you very much for the flowers", known from the comic series Tom & Jerry, will be played this evening, as will selected pieces from his earlier work.

Markus Engelstaedter, who the press describes as a "vocal chameleon" in the music scene, knows how to interpret the songs vocally, accompanied by Bernd Meyer on the piano, and also tells little anecdotes from the artist's life.

An honorable evening, very intimate. Thank you, Udo!
