Adam Fischer is considered one of the most important conductors of this time. He recorded all 104 of Joseph Haydn's symphonies. He also founded the Haydn Festival in Eisenstadt, which existed for thirty years as an international center for the cultivation of Haydn. In 2021, on the 50th anniversary of the Joseph Haydn Conservatory, the Joseph Haydn Prize was awarded for the first time in Eisenstadt and Adam Fischer was honored for his life's work.
