In their children's program, the Pindakaas Saxophone Quartet and the Berlin actor Frank Dukowski follow in the footsteps of Peter Tchaikovsky's world-famous ballet "The Nutcracker". Based on the fairy tale by E.T.A. Hoffmann, the story is told of the girl Clara, who receives a nutcracker as a gift from her godfather Drosselmeier on Christmas Eve. The nutcracker comes to life in the night to defeat the evil Mouse King together with the toy soldiers in the children's room.

At the end of the story, Clara frees the enchanted nutcracker from his curse, because her love is stronger than the dark magic.

Hardly any other classical piece has produced as many well-known melodies as Peter Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker". The Pindakaas Saxophone Quartet not only presents many of these well-known catchy tunes, but also works by Robert Schumann, Carl Reinecke, Modeste Mussorgsky and Igor Stravinsky in sophisticated arrangements for saxophone, clarinet, oboe and flute.

A thrillingly staged musical fairy tale for the winter season.
