The diverse Levantine cuisine encompasses countries located on the eastern Mediterranean: This is because ‘Levant’ can be loosely translated as ‘East’ or ‘Orient’. This cuisine and food culture are characterised above all by conviviality.

The dishes with fresh ingredients and aromatic spice mixtures are traditionally served in many small bowls on the table for everyone to share – creating a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Falafel, hummus, shakshuka, shawarma and fattoush are just some of the delicacies from the popular Middle Eastern cuisine.

Inspired by the current exhibition Noa Eshkol. No Time to Dance, Café Benjamine invites you to a culinary evening. Following a guided tour of the exhibition with works by Israeli artist Noa Eshkol and contemporary positions by Yael Bartana, Omer Krieger, Ayumi Paul and Sharon Lockhart, a series of culinary highlights will be served at Café Benjamine.
