On this album, Okay Kaya once again manages to capture expectations, feelings,
existential fears and unglamourous realisations in delicate and
powerful-sounding songs. The cherry on top of these songs is often her
sometimes subtle, sometimes wonderfully crude humour.
Her albums
"Both" (2018), "Watch This Liquid Pour Itself" (2020),
"Surviving Is The New Living" (2020), "SAP" (2022), which
she wrote, performed, engineered and produced entirely on her own, and the compilation
"The Incompatible Okay Kaya", released in 2021, would make for a
fascinating showcase of her work alone.
She will perform her new album on two tour stops through German at Quasimodo in
Berlin on October 17.
