JAEGER ART presents the first solo exhibition in Germany by renowned photo artist Bastiaan Woudt. From September 14th, the gallery will be showing various groups of works under the title "Rhythm", including some that have never been shown publicly before.

Bastiaan Woudt, born in the Netherlands in 1987, is known for his iconic portraits, which impress with strong contrasts and a unique monochrome aesthetic. Within just 13 years, he has gained international recognition.

Influenced by the masters of 20th century photography such as Irving Penn and Richard Avedon, Woudt combines classical traditions with innovative, modern elements. The result is timeless photographs with a contemporary touch that impress with their clarity and sophistication.

Woudt began his career as a self-taught photographer and quickly developed into a master in the use of light and shadow. His works are characterized by a distinctive aesthetic, marked by minimalist and surreal influences. This combination gives his sculptural portraits a unique recognition value.

His artworks are regularly exhibited in renowned galleries, at international art fairs and in leading auction houses and achieve considerable success. His first museum solo exhibition "Twist" was shown in 2022 at the Museum Kranenburgh in Bergen.

In his current project "Echo from Beyond", Woudt explores the boundaries of art and photography and deals intensively with the role of artificial intelligence in art. He is particularly interested in the symbiotic relationship between human creativity and machine learning. By merging his photographs with the possibilities of artificial intelligence, mixed media works are created that show previously unimaginable images and create a unique visual language. Some of these unique pieces are presented for the first time in the exhibition "Rhythm".
