Founded as a quartet, the band has existed for many years and has been at home on all jazz stages since then. Expanded to a quintet a few years ago by Walter Gauchel, the ensemble enjoys a classic, jazz-typical sound and uses the entire spectrum of jazz musical language - without being tied to a particular style.

Framed by the band leader's arrangements, classics, many of which are known to have been written by Jewish composers, can also be heard as well as original compositions by M. Harig, whereby the solo skills of all band members come to fruition as well as fine communicative interplay.
