Exceptional interpretation of the iconic work "Canto Ostinato", composed in 1976 by the Dutch minimalist composer Simeon ten Holt! This unusual version of the masterpiece with two marimbas and two vibraphones creates a unique soundscape characterized by colourful melodies, polyphony and lively energy.

The special feature of this composition lies in the principle of the "ostinato" - the continuous repetition of one or more basic musical themes throughout the work.

"Canto Ostinato" consists of 106 short musical blocks that can be repeated and varied by the musicians at their discretion. The score merely serves as a rough guide, making each performance of "Canto Ostinato" unique. No fixed form is given: The instrumentation and the number of musicians can vary, and the duration of the piece can range from an hour and a half to a whole day.

Simple Music Ensemble World is a chamber music studio that raises concerts on the world's best stages and unites professional musicians from different countries who sincerely love their work.

The team is multifaceted and is continuously developing, introducing new ideas, expanding the boundaries of their creative activity. The repertoire includes early music in authentic performance, classics, modern instrumental directions, film scores in their own original arrangements. And this is only a small part of what is in the process of the ensemble's work.
