Georg Kreisler: Life and Songs

Georg Kreisler's thoughts and work were shaped by the catastrophes of the twentieth century. He himself was a gifted entertainer whose poetic to macabre songs still inspire today. He was also a poet, essayist, novelist and, last but not least, composer of chamber music, operas and concerts.

Based on Kreisler's songs, the production leads through the biography of the exceptional musician of Jewish origin, who was looking for a new home while fleeing the National Socialists.

A special feature of the evening is the appreciation of Kreisler as a composer.
