The live swing sound of the Dukish Vagabonds and DJ Wuthe on the gramophone will entice you to dance. In the permanent city history exhibition "BerlinZEIT" you can learn interesting things about the history of queer Berlin in short tours.
Live speakers provide further exciting background information on Berlin's city history and are happy to talk to you in the "BerlinZEIT" and the special photo presentation "Berlin im Blick". And that's not all that awaits you on this long summer night!

The library of the Berlin City Museum is giving away books that are no longer needed. There is Berlin literature, Asian art and exhibition catalogs on art and cultural history. Donations are welcome!

DJ Wuthe will be providing original swing sounds with a gramophone and historic shellac records for the Long Night of Museums. In between: live music with the band Dukish Vagabonds.

Music with Dukish Vagabonds
The Berlin swing formation Dukish Vagabonds consists mostly of members of the swing orchestra Kind of Dukish. Swing and traditional jazz music from the 1920s to the 1940s will be played. In between: original swing sounds with DJ Wuthe.

In the newly edited permanent exhibition "BerlinZEIT - The city makes history!", Berlin is told in an easy-to-understand and compact way as a city of diversity and openness, but also as a city of ruptures and radical change. You can learn more from the live speakers and talk to them about the city's history.

Members of the support association explain the background to the objects acquired by the association and provide information about the association's activities.

In collaboration with external curators, the Berlin City Museum is showing selected images from the photo call "Berlin now! - Berlin contrasts" in a special presentation. Members of the curatorial team will present the project and the photographs on display.

BerlinZEIT | Short tour "Queer life in Berlin"
The period from 1896 to 1933 is marked by milestones in queer emancipation: Queer people became visible, were given a voice and established a self-image that even the National Socialist regime could not destroy. Matthias Hahn, co-curator of the BerlinZEIT exhibition, shows and tells exciting background information on the fight for the right to queer life.
