Judith Hill grew up in a musical family, her Japanese mother is a pianist, her African-American father a funk musician. She studied in the USA and France and began her career on her return. Her powerful, versatile and yet unique voice quickly made her an insider tip and had collaboration partners queuing up.

She quickly became one of the most sought-after backing singers for Anastacia, Josh Groban, Robbie Williams, George Benson and many more.

In 2009, she was cast as Michael Jackson's duet partner for the This is It concerts and rehearsed with the King of Pop for months until his tragic death. At his memorial service, she had the honor of performing Jackson's classic Heal the World. In 2014 and 2015, she worked with John Legend and Prince and was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Music Film for her participation in the documentary 20 Feet from Stardom.
