Natalia Pegarkova-Barenboim, award-winning pianist, is known for her remarkable solo performances and her passion for chamber music. She lives in Berlin and often works on stage with renowned musicians such as Michael Barenboim and Daniel Hope.

Her repertoire is diverse and ranges from the early 18th century to the music of today, with a strong focus on the classical and romantic eras.

Natalia graduated with distinction from the State Gnessin Music College in Moscow and continued her studies at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre and the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. She won first prize at the prestigious Concorso Internazionale Valsesia Musica Juniors 2006 Premio Monterosa-Kawai (Italy).

During her career, Natalia has performed with numerous chamber ensembles, including the Junge Münchner Philharmonie, the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie under the direction of George Benjamin, Kristjan Järvi and Erik Nielsen, and the Berliner Kammerorchester. She has also participated in various international music festivals in France, Hungary, Belgium, Spain, Greece and Norway.

In 2019, Natalia founded the song duo Primevère with soprano Sofia Livotov, which focuses on music by female composers and artist couples. The duo is passionate about playing lesser-known repertoire and is always interested in recording music by forgotten and overlooked composers.

In addition to her career as a musician, Natalia is passionate about music education and has worked on a project to bring classical music and literature to music schools in Berlin.

She has taught music theory and piano lessons as part of a pilot project "Musical School" that included music education in the curriculum of primary schools.

During the pandemic, she wrote a children's book called "Why Music?" that motivates children to learn a musical instrument.
