This time, we're talking to Stefanie Ochel about her translation of the novel "An Rändern" (Rohwolt, 2024) by Angelo Tijssens, which captured the hearts of readers in spring with its tender and urgent narrative style.
How do you survive the greatest loneliness and deepest pain? How does experienced rejection become courageous self-assertion?
A young man returns to his home on the coast of Flanders and is confronted with his past - the abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother and the discovery of his homosexuality in a world where there is no place for it.
