"Má Vlast" (My Fatherland) is a series of musical pieces written by the Czech composer Bedřich Smetana between 1874 and 1879. This music tells stories about the landscape, history and legends of the Czech Republic, including the famous piece "The Vltava". "Má Vlast" is often played at special celebrations in the Czech Republic.
