Sir Donald Runnicles, conductor; Respighi / Nono / Verdi

Italia noir: The Deutsche Oper Orchestra presents a dark Italian evening. Ottorino Respighi leads the orchestra into the arenas of ancient Rome in an acoustic Cinemascope format, while Luigi Nono counters the cruelties of his present with life and love. And Giuseppe Verdi's Otello is one of the most tragic opera tragedies - the finale is here.
