Midsummer, known as the summer solstice, is generally famous in the Scandinavian countries and the north, where the nights hardly get dark at the time of the "white nights".
This festival, originally a celebration of the God of Thunder, has a long tradition of various customs that celebrate light, summer and warmth.
The unique color constellations in the artists' works come together to represent the magical time of the midnight sun during midsummer, when the sun in the north does not set for weeks and a warm, bright atmosphere prevails.
