What is and what does cultural mediation critical of racism need? When looking at baroque palace rooms and works of art from the 18th and 19th centuries, participants deal with colonial references and locate themselves.

The joint exchange addresses the question of how these topics should be presented in castles and museums today and discussed in the examination of material cultural assets.
The framework conditions for educational work critical of racism are also discussed:
How does everyone raise awareness of racism and disadvantage? How do you create “safer spaces” in which everyone feels seen, read and can express themselves freely? What is needed for empowerment?
Patricia Vester develops educational concepts critical of racism, is a diversity trainer, offers process support and develops artistic and creative teaching methods. In 2023 she was an artist and cultural mediator at the special exhibition “Castle. Prussia. Colonial." of the SPSG involved.
