A reading concert with Ulrike Migdal and Liv Migdal

Testimonies that come from the so-called “Paradise Camp”, the Nazi model camp Theresienstadt, describe musical creative processes and the power of music and poetry in the face of constant threats of death.

Artistic activities offered the prisoners escape routes from reality and asylum for memories of their former lives and at the same time became an instrument in the prisoners' fight for humanity as a cultural being. Music will be the heart of the evening.

The Liebermann Villa team is pleased that the mother-daughter duo, consisting of the author Ulrike Migdal and the internationally successful violinist Liv Migdal, will enter into a dialogue of music and text.

Music by Joh. Sebastian Bach, Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber, Lera Auerbach, Ilse Weber, Paul Ben-Haim
