By naming their new album "Below The Waste", Goat Girl are showing courage. On their third record, which will be released in early June, they use "waste" as a powerful metaphor for the ugliness of oppressive structures or as a byproduct of modern society.

The London trio, consisting of singer and guitarist Lottie Pendlebury, bassist Holly Mullineaux and drummer Rosy Jones, simply creates a world in which all the dirt is removed.

Following their angst-driven, self-titled debut in 2018 and the escapist escape of sophomore album On All Fours in 2021, Goat Girl are entering their most confident phase.

Above all, “Below The Waste” celebrates the beauty of collectivism, community and, most of all, friendship. This friendship between the English women is also evident on stage when Goat Girl perform live. They come to Berlin in October.
