Young Euro Classic 2024

What the young musicians of the Ševčík Academy Orchestra and conductor Alena Hron play combines well-known melodies with real rarities from the rich treasure of the Czech musical landscape.

Well-known works such as “The Moldau” by Smetana and a Slavic dance by Dvořák form the framework. In between, often overlooked compositions by Bohuslav Martinů are featured, as is the Suita Rustica by Vítězslava Kaprálová, a Czech composer.

As a premiere, Jiří Teml presents a new cello concerto performed by Tomáš Jamník, who lives in Berlin.

The Czech orchestra is bringing along a promising soloist: 21-year-old Matteo Hager, who will perform Dvořák's Violin Romance.
