An event of the Berliner Festspiele / Musikfest Berlin

At Musikfest Berlin, the Cleveland Orchestra, the most "European" of the American "Big Five" orchestras, can be experienced in the Philharmonie with its chief conductor Franz Welser-Möst.

Virtuosity, sound, elegance, variety of colours

The Cleveland Orchestra unfolds an unmistakable sound culture and the precise refinement of its playing.

In Berlin, the Cleveland Orchestra will present the orchestral piece "Can you see?" by US composer and flautist Allison Loggins-Hull: a sombre reflection on the "Star Spangled Banner", followed by John Adams' "Guide to strange places", which was inspired by a French travel guide, and the finale, Sergei Prokofiev's Second Symphony
