Matthew Houk began his musical journey as a street musician with folk and country covers before enchanting the world with his profound and sometimes ironic songwriting as Phosphorescent. This story tells of the American who began learning the guitar in his youth, unconsciously laying the foundation for a brilliant career.

Today, over twenty years later, Phosphorescent's discography includes eight studio albums, with a ninth soon to be added. “Relevator”, which will be released at the beginning of April, already gives a foretaste of two of its nine tracks with the title song and “Impossible House”. The sound remains reserved, but shows the usual folk influences and proves in a rousing Phosphorescent manner how communal and touching music can be.

The American also conveys this feeling at his live concerts, one of which is planned in Berlin in August.
