The Berlin Park Railway in Wuhlheide is on the road again! The trains have been rolling through the large park area in Oberschöneweide since 1956. Young and old are thrilled by the narrow-gauge railways, which are pulled by steam or diesel locomotives.

From the 16th/17th The new season for Berlin's smallest train, which is operated by children, begins in March. It will operate on all weekends and public holidays until November 3rd and will also operate on weekdays during the school holidays in Berlin.

On the opening weekend, half-hour tours will be offered from the Parkeisenbahn main station (main entrance FEZ / An der Wuhlheide), from 10:00 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. and from 1:40 p.m. to 4:35 p.m. The trains stop at all subway stations, including the Wuhlheide S-Bahn station, where there is a direct connection to the S3 S-Bahn line.

On selected dates, such as Easter and Pentecost, historic steam locomotives are pulled in front of the trains.

Tickets for the half-hour tours are sold on the trains and at the counter in the Parkeisenbahn main station. Prices are 5.00 euros per trip, while children aged 2 and over pay 3.50 euros.

Children and young people organize the railway operations with the help of adult volunteers. Together in the club they learn everything that the subject of railways entails.

From the age of nine, children can get involved in practical railway operations. As they get older, they take on different tasks. Conductor, barrier attendant, supervisor, train driver, dispatcher. The jobs as a train driver and shunting manager can be taken on from the age of 18.
