An evening tour of the French paintings with painting curator Franziska Windt, SPSG

Frederick II is considered one of the most important collectors of French paintings in the 18th century. One focus of his collecting activities, especially in the first half of his reign, was the school of the so-called Fête galante. The king's castles housed one of Europe's largest collections of paintings by Antoine Watteau.

Some of these can be viewed along with works by other French artists such as Pater, Lancret, Pesne, de Troy and Coypel as part of this special tour of Sanssouci Palace together with the foundation's curator of paintings from the Romanesque schools, Franziska Windt.
