Ulla Meinecke has been a fixture in the German music and cultural landscape for over thirty years. In her texts she reflects ironically and with her own poetic language on the mysteries of everyday life and love. Her velvety voice, the poetry of her language and, last but not least, her thoughtful, ironic view of everyday things establish her reputation as a singer, poet and author.

Ulla Meinecke has completed many 1,000 concerts in recent years, as well as many readings of her two previously published books. She has sold well over a million records of her albums.

Ulla Meinecke is the master of the right words. Their stories are images of the everyday that explore the extraordinary in an incomparable way. The lyrics of the self-proclaimed “hardcore romantic” deal with one big theme: true love; of tender beginnings, small escapes, big dramas and strong departures.
