From the beginning, Good Kid relied on a diverse approach. This Toronto band's musical style combines energetic indie guitar pop with Californian cool and surf influences, which is pretty defining.

Across three EPs and numerous singles, the quartet impresses with flowing riffs, a driving rhythm section and of course the clear vocals of frontman Nick Frosst. His melodic punk excursions give the songs wonderfully exotic stories. The fact that the Canadians grew up playing computer games and are familiar with J-Rock adds to this musical package and makes Good Kid a pretty unique band.

New pop culture references are constantly cropping up in their music, adding an extra part of the enjoyment. Both their online concerts and their in-person performances are exciting, presenting their music and artwork in equal measure. In October Good Kid are coming to Berlin for the first time.
