With herbalist Alfruna through the castle garden

On Open Monument Day, herb woman Alfruna takes her guests on a tour of the castle garden and opens their eyes to the plant world of the 15th and 16th centuries.

Myths, sagas and legends about flowers, herbs, the wild forest and its connoisseurs bring the magical world and times to life. Alfruna also has many a helpful tip that is still relevant today! Not only did herbs have a cure for everything, they also had an inherent magic: flowers and herbs protected against evil, banished or laid curses, awakened bonds of love, helped witches to fly and heal illnesses to this day.

Nature came alive in the battle between good and evil. The herbalist knew the secrets and thus fell into the disrepute of being a witch. A tightrope walk between healing and magic.
